THE PROBLEM
It has recently come to our attention that many flu vaccination companies and health fair companies are not currently properly licensed as per NY State Public Health Law Article 36 and NY State Public Health Law Article 28. Corporations who contract with a vaccination company who is not properly licensed is putting their employees and their company at risk. Go To the Is "Your Supplier Licensed" page for your complimentary licensing verification.
Why Your Vaccination Company May Not Be Properly Licensed
1) Most flu vaccination providers are accustomed to working within Federal Guidelines for their vaccination requirements. Federal Guidelines have been established to ensure that the delivery of flu vaccines are done by licensed professionals under the oversight of a licensed medical doctor. These guidelines are general in scope and have been adopted by many states.
The NY State Health Department has added an additional level of protection to help protect NY State residents. Over the years the NY State Health Department has received numerous complaints from public/corporate flu vaccination clinics. In an effort to increase the standards and professional conduct of flu vaccination providers, the NY State Health Department set up a clinic evaluation program. In order to coordinate a public/corporate flu vaccination evaluation program the NY State Health Department has created mandatory licensing under their current LHCSA program.
The NY State Health Department has instituted the LHCSA requirement for the protection of NY State residents. The NY State Health Department is aware that many flu vaccination providers are not in compliance with this requirement and they have investigating this problem.
2) Many corporate flu vaccination clinics are delivered by NY State medical doctors. As medical doctors are licensed to deliver flu vaccinations in their office(s) they are not licensed to deliver flu vaccinations in public/corporate settings. To legally deliver flu vaccinations in a public/corporate setting a medical doctor must apply for and is required to have a current LHCSA.
